Our Mission

Education, Enlightenment, Engagement

Through a part-time seminary at NoorOhio, Siraaj aims to provides Islamic education with a unified approach. Siraaj will provide intensive programs, curriculum development & teacher training to promote sacred knowledge in Columbus.

Fall & Spring

Graduate from the Part-Time Seminary by completing 8 core credits, 8 elective credits, and 4 Arabic credits. The seminary may be completed in a minimum of two years across four semesters. Students will also have the option to go at their own pace and complete it over a longer period.

September 9th - December 7th

Code of Character

This elective delves into Adab al-Mufrad, teaching the prophetic guidance on personal conduct, respect, and community relations. Students will discover how cultivating sound character shapes faith and unlocks deeper understanding.

Tuesday - 7PM

Aqeedah: Realms of the Unseen

This core class offers a clear and structured introduction to Islamic Aqeedah. Students will explore the attributes of Allah, the nature of His actions and will, and core beliefs about angels, prophets, divine decree, and the Afterlife.

Tuesday - 8:10 PM

Arabic 101

This course focuses on essential vocabulary and basic grammar through the study of the first Madinah Arabic Reader. Students will build foundational skills for reading and understanding simple Arabic, preparing them for further study.

Sunday - 7PM

Fiqh: Heirs and Shares

This elective explores the essential Islamic rules of inheritance, wills, and estate management. Students will learn how shares are divided, how debts and funeral rites are handled, and the responsibilities that come with legacy.

Thursday- 7PM

Fiqh: Ethical Exchanges

This core class covers the fiqh of financial and social transactions, such as buying, selling, debt, contracts, marriage, and more. Key rulings and conditions are taught alongside the moral principles of justice, trust, and transparency.

Thursday - 8:10PM

Arabic 201

This course focuses on furthering vocabulary and dives into more advanced concepts of Arabic grammar, through the study of the Madinah Book 2. Students will build skills for understanding Arabic texts, an essential skill in the study of the religion.
